1. General information
The goals of the subject are to provide students with specialized training on the information and documentation generated by the European Union. Its information system is explored, knowing its structure, sources of information, products, centers and services, as well as its information and documentation policy.
The subject is taught in the 3rd and 4th years of the degree. The students have a basic knowledge of the technical tasks that are developed in the Information Units, and about general sources of information and current European Institutions, they have the opportunity to learn about an integral information system.
These goals are aligned with some of the SDGs of the 2030 Agenda: O4. Quality education; O5. Gender equality; O8.
Decent work and economic growth; O11: Sustainable Cities and Communities

4. Academic activities
The academic activities are:
1. Master class. Development of theoretical contents based on the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) method.
2. Practical classes. Seminars in which the approach, commentary, discussion and resolution of the practical assumptions are carried out by means of the use of different European information sources and the elaboration of a report, using theproposed European information .
3. Personal work. Completion of individual exercises and a group report on a topical issue dealt with by the European Union.
4. Evaluation. Teaching methodology: Oral presentation and written presentation of a report.

FIRST CALL
Continuous assessment system
Characteristics: Development of projects, both individual and group. The activities to consider for evaluating the student are:
1. Development of individual projects: 40%
2. Group development of a report on a current issue dealt with by the European Union: 60% Criteria: Accuracy, concreteness, relevance and timeliness of the European information and documentation used, as well as its good organization . Clear oral presentation of the results obtained. Collaboration in the evaluation of individual practicesand preparation of the group report.
Those who cannot attend class, due to combining work and study, will be evaluated in the same way, given that the information they must work with is accessible via the Internet in Moodle and on the EUROPA portal.
Global assessment test (date set by the Faculty)
Characteristics: Each student will present the same activities that are developed in the continuous evaluation system on the date set in the academic calendar through the teaching platform.
Assessment criteria: the same as in the continuous evaluation system.
